Worcester Men Arrested & Charged With Illegal Gun Possession

Worcester police have arrested and charged two men for illegal possession of hand guns and ammunition. 

Police arrested Edward Crump, 28, of 11 Oberlin street, Apt. 2 in Worcester and charged him with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition without an FID Card. 

Police also arrested Cuba Porfirio, 22, of 70 Everard Street, in Worcester and charged him with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition without an FID Card. 

The Incident 

Members of the Worcester police gang unit were conducting an investigation in the area of Millbury Street on Thursday, January 28 at approximately 5:40 p.m. 

Two males were standing outside of New Chef Ho Restaurant located at 208 Millbury Street when they spotted police and quickly went inside the building. 

The men were located inside the bathroom of the restaurant. One male initially tried to block the path inhibiting police to enter the area but then complied. Officers recovered a loaded handgun next to the men.
