Worcester PD Weekend Traffic Advisory

Here is the Worcester Police traffic advisory:
The following events may have a significant impact on the flow of traffic in the areas indicated:
Sept 12th Canal Diggers Road Race- Drivers can expect delays and detours from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kelly Square, Millbury Street, Water Street, Grafton Street, Franklin Street, Foster Street, Major Taylor Boulevard and Main Street (From Highland to Franklin) Canal Fest will also take place along Water Street and Millbury Street.
Sept 12th Blackstone Canal Fest- 11 a.m.-5 p.m. -Harding Street at Kelley Square
Sept 12th Worcester Pride Parade and Festival- Drivers can expect delays beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Salisbury Street from Institute Park to Grove Street, across Highland Street and Main Street to the Common. Worcester Pride will also host a celebration on the Common from noon-7:00 pm
Sept 12th Be Like Brit 5k Walk- Drivers can expect some disruptions from 9:00 a.m. to noon beginning at Elm Park, along Park Avenue to Pleasant Street and June Street to Newton Square and back to Elm Park.
Sept 12th 9th Annual College Shuffle Expect heavy pedestrian traffic and congestion from noon until 3 p.m. in the Shrewsbury Street area
Sept 12th Woo Fest -Noon - 5 p.m. Shrewsbury Street and Lyon Street
Sept 12th St Paul Catholic Procession- The procession will beginning at 11:00 a.m., High Street to Chestnut, Street, Irving Street, Austin Street and back to High Street.
Again, due to heavy pedestrian crowds associated with these events, motorists are encouraged to exercise caution when traveling in these areas.
