Worcester Police Continue to Investigate Fatal 146 Crash

A 23-year-old female was pronounced dead after she lost control of her car on a Route 146 off ramp. The car struck a bullard which is a steel pole use to protect structures. In this area, the bullard was being used to protect a traffic control box. The accident happened at approximately 1:25 a.m. 

The victim contacted her boyfriend to come to the scene and he transported her to his home. An ambulance was called to treat her after the boyfriend got home and she was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition. 

Later, Worcester police were notified that the female victim was pronounced dead at the hospital at approximately 8 p.m. The victim's name will be released when family members are properly notified. 

The accident reconstruction team continues to investigate.
