Worcester Police Investigating Saturday Night Double Shooting

Monday, August 17, 2015

A pair of shooting victims arrived at Worcester hospitals on Saturday with gun shot wounds to the legs.

According to the Worcester Police Department, around 9 PM on Saturday officers were alerted by a witness that a gun shot victim was at Federal Square. Police found a 20-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to the hospital, but was unable to provide police with information about the shooting.

Shortly after, WPD was notified about a second victim walking toward College Square on Southbridge Street. Officers could not locate the victim, but moments later they were notified that a 22-year-old shooting victim arrived at a local emergency room with a gunshot wound. The victim was dropped off by friends.

Their injuries are considered non-life threatening.

There is limited suspect information at this time. Both victims have not cooperated with the investigation.
