Worcester Police to Take Part in National Night Out on Tuesday

The Worcester Police Department will participate in National Night Out on August 2nd

The event will take place at the Fuller Family (YMCA) park at 104 Murray Ave starting at 5 p.m.

The celebration is held worldwide under the National Association of Town Watch with a collaboration of citizens, law-enforcement agencies, civic groups, and business and neighborhood associations from more than 8,000 communities in all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide. The goal is to reduce crime and build relationships between police and citizens

The event is free with food, games, entertainment and kids activities.

Residents are urged to turn their outside lights on for the events to show their support for the community effort against crime.
