The Incident
On Friday, December 30, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Worcester Police responded to the emergency room of a local hospital for a report of a woman that had just arrived suffering from stab wounds. Upon the arrival of the police, they met with a 35-year-old woman who was conscious and alert. She was being treated for multiple stab wounds.
According to the victim, she is a ‘Spanish Cab Driver" and works for High-Class Limo Service. The victim had picked up two men at the Blackstone Valley Mall and drove them to a Great Brook Valley Avenue address. The victim dropped off her fare and drove away. While stopped at a red light at the intersection of Tacoma Street and Boylston Street she saw two Hispanic men (not the ones she dropped off) walking towards her car. One man immediately opened the driver’s door and started punching her in the face and pulling on her hair. During this assault, the other man repeatedly demanded cash from her. The two managed to pull the woman from the car but she fought back. During the attack, she felt that she was being stabbed. The victim was able to get back into her car and lock the doors.
The two men ran off back towards the valley, they did not take any of the woman’s cash.
After the attack, the victim drove herself to the hospital.
