Worcester Yard Waste Drop Off Sites Open April 4

The Worcester Department of Parks and Public Works has announced that beginning on April 4 yard waste and bulk items drop-off sites will open. 

The drop-off sites are open on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 3 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM.

The Millbury Street site is also open on Sundays from 9 AM to 5 PM. This is the only site that receives bulk items. To schedule an appointment to drop off bulk items, there must be a 48 hour notice. Call 508-929-1300 to schedule the appointment.  Residents must provide an itemized list of bulk items, proof of residency and must pay in cash or check made out to the City of Worcester.

Drop-Off Sites:

  • 1065 Millbury Street Residential Drop-Off and Recycling Center - yard waste and bulk items (bulk items by appointment only)
  • Clark Street - near intersection with East Mountain Street - yard waste only
  • Chandler Street - across from Foley Stadium- yard wase only

According to the DPW, "Yard Waste is defined as leaves, grass clippings, garden materials, shrub/hedge trimmings, weeds, and brush one inch or less in diameter." Large branches can only be dropped off at the Millbury Street location.
