The online resource site for students and their parents has compiled profiles on more than 700 colleges and universities and released 9 categories of rankings, including Best College Libraries, Best Dining Halls, and Best College Campus Security. BestColleges utilized student surveys, faculty surveys, independent research, ranking systems, and "the input of highly credible and authoritative sources" to arrive at its rankings.
Clark and Career
According to BestColleges, Clark University’s Career Services Office gets winning marks for offering students one-on-one career counseling as well as a number of online support tools. "The office provides guidance to students interested in graduate school, desiring career related experience before graduation and looking for jobs after completing their degrees. The office also has a library of tutorials and hosts the Clark Recruiter, a database of job and internship opportunities and employer information."
Clark shared the Best College Career Services honor with several other New England colleges, including Northeastern University, Franklin Pierce College, UNH School of Law, Smith College, and Bridgewater State.
"Career services are often overlooked when students are deciding what college to go to, but at the end of their four years, they may find that the career services department might actually be the most important in the school," according to BestColleges. "From job placement to career advice, the career services featured on this list go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to life after college."
