In 2015, the number of AP Science qualifying scores doubled, and AP Biology scores were seven times higher than 2014. There are currently 406 students in AP classes this year - compared to 137 in 2009.
The number of Hispanic males taking AP exams has quadrupled since the school joined the program.
The South High celebration will kick-off at 9 AM on Thursday, September 24 at South High, 170 Apricot Street in Worcester.
Speakers at the event will include South High Principal Maureen Binienda and Mass Insight Education College Senior Field Director John Smolenski.
