Each week accompanying the segments of the FBI files on Raymond Patriarca and expert analysis on the documents released, GoLocal provides a “cheat sheet” of some of the key elements from the documents.

This week’s cheat sheet unveils the following.

 

SLIDE 103

Raymond Patriarca complaints to the FBI that their investigation is hurting his business. In the Memo from the Boston Office of the FBI to J. Edgar Hoover the memo is cc:ed to Deputy Attorney General Byron White. A year later, John F. Kennedy named White to the Supreme Court. White made national attention as an All American football player at Colorado and then he was a 1st round pick in the NFL.

 

SLIDE 105

The Boston FBI office asked the IRS for Patriarca's’s IRS file.

 

SLIDE 106

The IRS refuses the request.

 

SLIDE 112

Miami FBI confirm Patriarca held meetings at the Fontainbleau Hotel on Miami Beach. The Phoenix office of the FBI confirms that Helen Patriarca was at the El Conquistador — “All leads should be handled expeditiously.”

The FBI reports that both Patriarca and his wife are very sick — Patriarca heart issues continue to adversely impact him and his wife Helen is suffering from asthma.

Walter Stone is fired as the head of the State Police by the new Governor John Notte. Stone returns to run the Providence Police Department.

FBI reports that Patriarca has lunch at the same restaurant everyday in the same booth at the Old Canteen.

Enrico “Henry” Tameleo - reports show he hangs out at Uptown Luncheonette at 316 Broadway.

Saul Friedman emerges as a powerful force as Patriarca's consigliere. His office for years was in the former Bank Building - now RISD dorms.
