21 Tough Questions For Worcester’s School + Council Candidates
Thursday, October 10, 2013
“We release this report every two years when there is a local election,” said Roberta Schaefer, Ph.D., president and CEO of the Research Bureau.
“We choose the questions based on what the most current and important issues are, so that’s the basis on what we try to include,” she said. “There are lots of issues, but we try to keep the list to a reasonable size.”
The questions are meant to “canvass the candidates’ views and to contribute to the public debate about some of the most important challenges facing Worcester.”
“We hope that as a result the residents of Worcester will ask the candidates some of these questions and educate themselves about some of these issues,” said Schaefer.
The Research Bureau hopes that voters will utilize their suggested questions in their queries to candidates, and that they will find them helpful in making an informed decision about who to cast their ballots for in November.
So, what questions should Worcester’s candidates be prepared for?
GoLocalWorcester will be reporting on these and other answers from candidates for office moving into the election season. Come back to hear how they respond.
