NEW: Police Unions Endorse Lynch

Stephen Lynch has secured an endorsement from multiple police unions in Boston, giving him a leg up against his primary opponent, Ed Markey, as the Senate special election heats up.

Lynch will meet with Tom Nee, President of the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association; Hugh Cameron, President of the Massachusetts Coalition of Police; and a representative from the International Brotherhood of Police Officers in Brighton today at 9:30 to receive their endorsements.

The Democratic Congressman and his primary opponent, Congressman Markey have been vying for union support as the election nears.
