Worcester Railers Hockey Club affiliate of the New York Islanders in conjunction with the ECHL announced today that the club has elected to cancel the 2020-21 season under a league approved COVID-19 Voluntary Suspension policy. Worcester Railers HC will return to play for the 2021-22 ECHL Season in October.

Governor Charlie Baker’s Administration announced on Friday that the first field hospital will be "stood up" at the DCU Center in Worcester as the Commonwealth prepares additional capacity for COVID-19 patients. Worcester Receives More than $500,000 in Environmental Grants from State

The Baker Administration has announced more than $8.7 million in grant awards to municipalities and land trusts to support the acquisition and conservation of over 676 acres of land throughout the Commonwealth. The grants, awarded through four separate grant programs, will fund 46 projects in 35 communities, creating or renovating 20 parks and supporting projects to help farmers and forest landowners improve the management of soils and natural resources. Worcester received more than $500,000 in four separate grants
