In response to Should Domestic Abuse Victims in MA Have Easier Access to Guns? As far as I'm concerned, if an individual wants a gun, domestic abuse victim or not. He or she should get one. With no strings attached. Meaning, it should be of no concern to anyone, who has, or is getting a gun. Except for the person supplying the gun, shooting that gun, and the person getting shot, with that gun.

in Politics

"The reason a college degree is expensive is BECAUSE there is so much money available to lend."

The only reason a college degree is so expensive is the same reason everything else from food and fuel to housing taxes are constantly going up: It's the interest.

You are right, going into the trades is a much better educational investment, not just because the ROI on a college degree sucks, it's also highly likely one would be able to stay employed. This unmitigated crime of banks (who never give up commensurable consideration, which means they actually loan nothing and consequently charge unjustifiable and unsustainable interest) has made it ever more difficult for all industry and commerce to maintain margins of solubility, because we are forced to service more and more of the debt out of every dollar of principal. As a result, prices go up and it becomes ever more difficult to find a job.

There are law school graduates living on the streets. I am really glad I never went to college; At this point it's a deliberate scam that banking, the education cartel and the Orwellian-named Department of Education are profiting obscenely from.

Until We The People wake up and take our nation back, it will only get worse. even plumbers will have trouble getting work. Eventually, we will all be dispossessed by banking, even the traitors in Congress and the disinformation shills in the media.

The notion that banks actually "lend," anything is a deception. even the Federal Reserve of Chicago published a paper called, "Modern Money Mechanics," they admit that the issuance of currency only occurs at the signing of the promissory obligation. In other words, the money is only ever created by We The People and all the bank does is publish evidence of it and for the mere cost of ink and paper, they charge obscenely large multiples of the principal. That's why college, and everything else, costs so much. And since the principal is only ever issued, it is mathematically impossible to pay interest and principal out of what is only ever that principal. So not only is the interest unjustified, it's unsustainable. Elizabeth Warren has been apprised of this multiple times and she doesn't even respond with a denial of the crime. Furthermore, since the Senator has received letters in November and December of 2013 that demonstrates this, she has ceased all communication with the Student Loan Debt Crisis group leaders. Even though her office has confirmed, via phone, the receipt of these letters and has promised a response, she have been silent. Banks are the problem and Congress, even our beloved, "Progressives," have sold out.

"Evidence shows that bringing a firearm into a situation dramatically increases the likelihood of an injury or even death.”

Evidence also shows that going out in the rain increases the likelihood of getting wet.

Could we possibly consider that the likelihood of injury or death is increased for the right person?

YES.

Abstract:
In recent years, the Second Amendment has gone from a subject of scholarly and political debate with no real judicial role, to a clearly established individual right that is being enforced in lower courts. This Essay, the foreword to a forthcoming Tennessee Law Review symposium on the Second Amendment, explores how that happened, and what is likely to come next.

Down Load and read the whole paper. It is the cutting edge of scholarship on this topic.

MoonBats will always babble like MoonBats, - and they'll NEVER make any sense.

Frankly – some of these idiots want the police to station 24-hour guards on the front porch of every abuse victim; - as if we could somehow afford that. Makes as much sense as believing that a restraining order will stop an enraged goon.

Yes, quick access to handgun TRAINING and a handgun PURCHASE would deter some of the goons. And a few goons might be shot – even killed, – NO LOSS THERE!

So instead of hand-wringing about 'more guns isn't the answer' – let these do-gooders pool their money and establish some regional Emergency Gun Schools – and a fund to help poor women buy [or rent] a gun – quickly.

The reason a college degree is expensive is BECAUSE there is so much money available to lend. It used to be much more difficult to get college loans. Now, anyone can get them to finance a degree. Problem is, few college degrees are actually a good investment. 200K of debt for a job that will,at most, pay 60K over a career is a piss poor investment by any measure. Better to be a plumber.

"Elizabeth Warren is Right on Student Loans"

well, since every single, "solution," that the Senator has proposed advocates interest, which is NEVER justified, then the suggestion that she's right is a deception.

Senator Warren has received letters in November and December of 2013 that demonstrated that any rate of interest is not only unjustified, but is ultimately terminal. She has also many previous communications regarding this matter.

Since Senator Warren has ignored any direct response on this matter and since she is closely aligned with the so-called Center for American Progress, which is heavily funded by the biggest criminal banks in the world, I seriously doubt that she will ever lead us out of this satisfied debt scam.

This is a nice description of the power of financial incentives to foster sensible behavior. However, the accounting of changes in landfill amounts, recycling amounts, and financial savings since implementation of the pay as you go program are very difficult to follow. The estimated 10-20 million in financial savings is apparently a spur of the moment guesstimate from one or two individuals. I think that a clear and transparent description of the accounting would help convincingly communicate what looks like a very important message.

From: Rob Horowitz: The Civil Rights Act, 50 Years Later

in Politics

Leave it to a Democrat to only tell PART of the story Rob. This piece makes you an OFFICIAL Revisionist Historian!!!

You didn't tell the part that the RESISTANCE to the Civil Rights Act came from Southern DEMOCRATS!

You didn't mention that Johnson was a visionary – who knew that poorly educated and inner city Blacks could be easily manipulated with the illusion of government largess.

You failed to mention his famous chuckle to his cronies as he signed the bill: “I'll have them ni@@ers voting Democrat for the next 200 years!”

And for the past 50 years, - aided by the likes of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Ben Jealous, Deval Patrick, Eric Holder, Kwame Kilpatrick, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, John Conyers, Elinor Holmes Norton, Frederica Wilson, Keith Ellison, Elijah Cummings, Jesse Jackson Jr., Mel Reynolds, Cynthia McKinney, Alcee Hastings, and Charlie Rangel, - he was 100% correct!

And 50 years later, the majority of American Blacks are still poor, still under-educated, still living in drug and crime plagued inner city neighborhoods, and still existing on monthly government handouts.

Today 72% of Black babies are born out of wedlock. Factor in that 40% of all Black pregnancies end up in abortion – and you have exactly the form of slavery LBJ envisioned.

Now this current president – and the Democrats – wants to lock America's black population in perpetual poverty by granting AMNESTY to 20 million illegal Mexicans? If that happens – most Blacks will NEVER find even an entry-level job.

So much for “Civil Rights”! The Democratic Party is the most racist institution America has ever known, - and their ACTIONS prove it.

Amy, Amy, Dear Dear Amy....

NOTHING Sebelius could have done would have EVER made ObamaCare work.

It wasn't designed to work – it was designed to RUIN the world's BEST healthcare system – and replace it with the Socialist model – where all doctors are govt employees.

ObamaCare was the trick – the interim step – DESIGNED to be a failure – so that Obama could say “...sorry,...it didn't work,...the only solution is single-payer”.

Amy, - ANY of you – do you REALLY think Obama gives a FLIP about your health, your healthcare, - or your doctor?

His unending mission of hate is “Fundamental Transformation”. If you cannot understand that,...well,...you probably still believe in the Easter Bunny.

And which brilliant, overbearing, and unrealistic political party thought up Medicare and Medicaid?

Please explain the part of our Constitution which directs the Government to run a health delivery system – or an insurance system?

Government can BARELY do the functions assigned to it by the Constitution. Who but an utter fool would then pass laws assigning it social welfare tasks that are incompatible with it's specified roles?

WHO but an utter FOOL would imagine that these unconstitutional tasks would not attract rats, worms, maggots, mold, and crooks to pilfer and plunder?

It is NEVER the government's job to house, feed, clothe, medicate or retire you.

Those things are YOUR PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. For the truly weak and infirm there should be charity – real charity – by churches and private groups – NOT GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS!!

You can be fleeced by Merry Maids if you do not keep your eye on what they actually do.

Uncritically trusting local businessmen with your personal wealth is just as foolish as trusting the government.

Our basic mistrust of the government is on record with the 2nd amendment but we do need to have some positive input to controlling the government also and that is at the ballot box when we do not like what they are doing.

The full story of where the Medicare and Medicade money goes is essential to understanding our countries health care which may not be as well managed as we the people would want it to be.

The government is NOT making "key health care decisions". That private health care insurance comes with a mandate to purchase coverage has NOTHING to do with care; you are claiming that the government is telling doctors what they can and can not do---that is a lie!

And, of course, you aren't so stupid as to not be aware that insurance companies have cut off care FOR YEARS, right? You have heard of "rescission", right?
