The Red Sox would be up 5-1 in the sixth when Betts would strike again, this time hitting a two run home run to put Boston up 7-1 in the game.
Still leading 7-1-1, the Red Sox offense exploded for 8 runs in the seventh inning, including a two run single by Betts.
Hanley Ramirez hit a two run home run in the inning and Andrew Benintendi connected on an RBI double to left field and would later score on a Dustin Pedroia ground rule double.
