Bravehearts to Host Cape Cod League Team in Exhibition Game

Thursday, March 03, 2016

The Worcester Bravehearts will host the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod League on Wednesday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m. This will be the first ever visit by a Cape Cod League team.

“It’s a thrill and an honor to be able to host a game against the Cape Cod League here in Worcester. The Cape League is known as a prestigious jewel of summer collegiate baseball throughout the country, and our organization is looking forward to sharing in that prestige on June 8th,” said Bravehearts’ General Manager Dave Peterson.

The game will be part of a doubleheader for the Bravehears, who will play a regular season game earlier in the day against the Bristol Blues at 10:30 a.m.

“I am very excited that the Futures League was willing to play these games. Three of the four teams we are playing against all play in minor league stadiums,” said Wareham Gatemen President Andrew Lang.
