Butler’s 1st Career Double-Double Leads Holy Cross to 70-64 Win Over American

Butler scored 14 points and grabbed ten rebounds to help Holy Cross improve to 11-17 on the season and 8-9 in the Patriot League.
Holy Cross is now in 6th place in the Patriot League standings with one game remaining.
Holy Cross Edges American
The Crusaders led 45-39 after the first seven minutes of the second half before American went on a 6-0 run to take a 45-44 lead.
The Crusaders would take the lead back on a jump shot by Jehyve Floyd and then a three from freshman Connor Niego.
With less than three minutes to play, Holy Cross led 58-56 when Butler converted and dunk and Floyd knocked down two free throws to push Holy Cross’ lead to six.
Holy Cross would seal the game at the free throw line, knocking down seven of eight shots in the final minute to win by six.
Next Up
Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, February 24 when they visit Colgate in the final game of the regular season.
Game time is set for 2 p.m.
