Holy Cross falls to 3-11 on the season and 0-3 in the Patriot League.
Lehigh improves to 7-7 overall and 2-1 in the Patriot League.
Holy Cross Fades After Hot Start
The Holy Cross Crusaders got off to a hot start, scoring the first 12 points and taking a 19-3 lead with 12:55 left to play in the half.
However, Lehigh responded with a 12-0 run and would later take their first lead, 33-32, with 4:26 to play in the game.
Lehigh would take a 45-40 at the break.
The Mountain Hawks would build up as much as a 16 point lead, 67-51, with 10 minutes left to play.
The Crusaders would come back with a 15-2 run of their own over the next five minutes to get within three, 69-66.
The Mountain Hawks would push their lead back up to eight points, 78-70, with 1:53 left to play before Holy Cross would cut the lead to two, 79-77, with 21 seconds left in the game.
Lehigh would knock down four free throws in the final 20 seconds to seal the win.
The Mountain Hawks shot 57% from three in the game 52% from the field.

Holy Cross returns to action on Monday, January 8 when they host Loyola.
Game time is set for 7 p.m.
