Yet another week of stellar high school football is behind us in Central Massachusetts. This week featured upsets, come from behind wins and fantastic performances. Lets take a look at some of the players that made this week a great week to be a football fan in central Massachusetts.

10. Stephen Peterson

Peterson was a key part of Tiger's big win over visiting Lunenberg on Friday. He carried the ball an astonishing 30 times for 164 yards and a touchdown. Peterson ran behind an offensive line that overmatched Lunenberg on the way to 257 total rushing yards for Maynard..

9. Mark Wright

Wright led his Auburn Rockets to an easy win over Gardner by scoring on three separate rushes. Wright was responsible for all of Auburn’s touchdowns in the win.

8. Darren Gentile

Gentile carried the ball 16 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns as his performance led to a 22-8 win over Quaboag. Behind his great night, Gentile led the Vikings to a huge win.

7. Tristan Lynch

Lynch was the leader of a strong offensive performance as the Crusaders dispatched Algonquin 35-14. Lynch carried the ball 18 times for 122 yards and two touchdown. Lynch scored both touchdowns from inside the 10 yard line, helping Groton-Dunstable to a big win.

6. Fitchburgh's RB's

Darius Flowers, Julio Gonzalez and Demetrice Williams dominated as they each carried the ball in for two touchdowns. The three combined to account for all six of Fitchburgh’s touchdowns.

5. Ross Sudar

Sudar was dominant, but Millbury could not capitalize as a team as the fell to Uxbridge. Sudar accounted for all 28 of Millbury’s points, scoring four times on the ground and converting two 2-point conversions.

4. Jake Gleb

Gleb led the potent rushing attack of the Rams to a huge 50-29 win over Wachusett. Gleb led an offensive onslaught that led to 426 total yards and 50 points on the board by rushing for 112 yards and four touchdowns.

3. Zac Walker

Ayer Shirley did not have much to brag about as a team following Friday night, but their quarterback, Zac Walker played a stellar game. Walker went 14-27 for 223 yards and five touchdowns. Despite his team’s shortcomings, Walker looked great.

2. Koby Schofer

In a day and age where dual-threat quaterbacks are the trend, Northbridge's Schofer showed he can play as a new style quarterback. Schofer had a fantastic game, throwing 15-29 for 165 yards and two touchdowns and then added 14 rushed for 86 yards and two more touchdowns.

1. Alex McLaughlin

McLaughlin is yet another dual-threat quarterback who had a great game. McLaughlin out did follow quarterback Koby Schofer of Northbridge to earn this week’s player of the week. McLaughlin threw for 133 yards and a touchdown on 10-17 passing and then dominated on the ground, piling up 213 yards on 17 carries and four touchdowns.
