Crusaders Welcome Bulldogs To Hart Center

Saturday, March 22, 2014

Fresh off a thrilling 68-65 win over Brown University in the opening round of the CollegeInder.com Postseason Tournament, the Holy Cross Crusaders (20-13) will play host to the Yale University Bulldogs (16-13) in Round 2 of the CIT.

On Saturday night the Crusaders will welcome the Bulldogs into the Hart Center as they search for their first back-to-back postseason wins since the 2009 Patriot League Tournament. The Bulldogs come into the game fresh off a 69-68 win over Quinnipiac on Wednesday night.

The game will feature a match-up between two great big men in Justin Sears form Yale and Dave Dudzinski from Holy Cross. Both of these forwards were pivotal in the final seconds of both team's Round 1 victories.

Sears enjoyed a season that saw him scoring 16.9 points and grabbing 7.2 rebounds per game, good for 3rd in the Ivy League in both categories. Dudzinski finished with 14.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, good for 5th in points and 2nd in rebounds in the Patriot League. The two will likely guard each other all night, creating the marquee match-up of the CIT.
