Don Orsillo to Leave NESN at End of Red Sox Season
Wednesday, August 26, 2015
According to a report from WEEI's Dennis and Callahan radio show, Orsillo and NESN will part ways following the 2015 Red Sox campaign.
Orsillo has been with the Red Sox since 2001 after five years as the play-by-play announcer for the Pawtucket Red Sox. He became the full-time announcer in 2005. In 2011, Orsillo signed a multi-year deal that kept him in the announcer's booth until the end of this season.
Thanks to a jovial back-and-forth with color commentator Jerry Remy, Orsillo has become a fan favorite among Red Sox fans.
