Edelman Only Patriot on NFL Player’s 2015 ‘Rising 50’

Thursday, February 05, 2015

NFL Players, Inc. has released its first ever 'Rising 50' list highlighting current and future NFL talent and where they might rank among top sellers of licensed merchandise. For the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, only wide receiver Julian Edelman made the list.

Edelman came in at #20 trailing a host of other NFL wide receivers and soon-to-be-drafted rookie talent. At the top of the list was New York Giants wide reciever Odell Beckham Jr., followed by Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell, University of Oregon's Marcus Mariota, Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, and Indianapolis Colts wide reciever T.Y. Hilton.

During the 2014 regular season, Edelman caught 92 passes for 972 yards and four touchdowns. During the postseason, Edelman led the NFL with 26 catches and 281 yards receiving. He also caught the game winning touchdown during the Super Bowl.

According to NFLPI, the Rising 50 list "covers the 2014 season, highlighted by popular veteran players, emerging young stars and highly-touted college players entering the NFL Draft.
