Floyd’s Career-High 25 Points Lifts Holy Cross Past Lafayette 77-70

Floyd’s points came on 11 of 13 shooting from the field, while also grabbing six rebounds and dishing out six assists.
Holy Cross improves to 11-6 overall and 2-2 in the Patriot League.
Lafayette falls to 4-11 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
Holy Cross Beats Lafayette
After leading 23-15 in the first half, Holy Cross saw their lead cut to two, 23-21 with just over six minutes to play in the half.
Holy Cross then responded with a 9-2 run to take a 32-23 lead.
The Crusaders would take a ten point lead, 40-30 into the break.
In the second half, Holy Cross maintained a ten point lead, 49-39, with 14 minutes to play before going on a 8-0 run to take a commanding 57-39 lead.
Holy Cross built their lead to 73-59 before Lafayette scored 11 points in the final 45 seconds to make the final score 77-70.
Jacob Grandson added 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the game.
Next Up
Holy Cross returns to action on Monday, January 14 when they travel to Bucknell.
Game time is set for 7 p.m. and can be seen on the CBS Sports Network.
