Introducing to GoLocal:  Sports Cartoonist Frank Galasso

GoLocalProv has tapped noted sports cartoonist Frank Galasso to join the sports channel on GoLocal. The Rhode Island native and resident who formerly contributed to the Providence Journal.

Galasso has been nationally syndicated to 36 newspapers including 6 of top 12 in country, and was a previous winner of 10 New England press awards.

"Frank is iconic. His work defines New England sports," said Scott Cordischi, Sports Editor at GoLocalProv.com.

Galasso's cartoons have been featured regularly on Web sites such as Bostondirtdogs, WJAR channel 10 with Frank Carpano, WBZ Boston,  and was a regular contributor to the former 790 the Score.

Galasso's local theme commemoratives include Rocky Point, Rhode Island Icons and Rhode Island Reds history lithograph.  Today Galasso is still the most 'featured' sports cartoonist in America.

Galasso's murals cover the walls of Wicked Good sports bar at Twin River. and he has presented caricatures to such greats as Curt Schilling, Lee Smith, Willie Stargell, Rick Springfield, Yogi Berra, Jeffrey Osborn as well as many many others.
