Green’s 18 Points Helps Celtics Hold Off Bulls 104-95, Tie Series at 2

Gerald Green was inserted into the starting lineup and poured in 18 points to help the Boston Celtics hold off Chicago 104-95 and tie their playoff series at 2 on Sunday night in Chicago. 

Green played 23 minutes in the game and went of 7 of 13 from the field, while also grabbing seven rebounds. 

The series now returns to Boston for game 5 on Wednesday. 

Celtics Hold Off Bulls 

The Celtics trailed 65-63 with 4:35 to play in the third quarter after leading by as much as 20 points in the first half. 

From that point, Boston would go on a 14-2 run to take a 77-67 lead capped off by a  Kelly Olynyk layup with 35 seconds left in the third quarter. 

The Bulls would get back within five, 79-74, in the fourth quarter before the Celtics would go on a 6-2 run capped off by an Isaiah Thomas layup to take an 86-76 lead with nine minutes to play in the game. 

The Bulls would not get closer than eight points the rest of the way . 

Next up 

Game 5 is set for Wednesday in Boston. 

Game time is yet to be determined.
