Holy Cross Falls to Colgate 62-55 in Patriot League Tournament Semifinal

In the game, Holy Cross was unable to hold Colgate off of the offensive glass. The Raiders pulled down 18 offensive rebounds leading to 15 second-chance points.
The Crusaders finish the season with an overall record of 12-19 and a conference record of 8-10.
Colgate advances to their first Patriot League title game in ten years.
Holy Cross Falls Short
After the Crusaders held a brief 40-39 lead with 11 minutes left, the game would be tied at 48 with 5:51 to play.
From that point, Colgate would go on a 6-0 run capped off by a Jordan Burns three to take a 54-48 lead with 2:56 to play.
Holy Cross would get within three, 58-55, on a three-point play by Jacob Grandison with 29 seconds left, but would not get closer.
Colgate would knock down four of six free throws in the final 30 seconds to seal the win.
Along with the offensive rebounds, Colgate was helped by 22 free throw attempts, of which they made 19.
Holy Cross only shot nine free throws in the game, making high to them.
The Crusaders were led by Jehyve Floyd and Grandison, who each scored 14 points.
