Holy Cross Basketball to Play UMass at DCU Center on November 20

Saturday, May 14, 2016

The Holy Cross Crusaders men's basketball team will face UMass at the DCU Center on Sunday, November 20 at 1p.m. The matchup will be the first in a three-year series between the schools which will also include games during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons at the Mullins Center in Amherst.

“We look forward to resuming our series with UMass. We always want to challenge ourselves against top competition, and it is an added bonus that we can do so against an in-state rival. This year’s game will provide an excellent opportunity for our fans to see us play in downtown Worcester, and we anticipate there being a great atmosphere in the building," said Holy Cross coach Bill Carmody.

This will be the 57th meeting between the two programs. Holy Cross leads the all-time series 36-20.

Holy Cross at the DCU Center

The Crusaders have played a total of 21 games at the DCU Center with their last one coming in 2011 when they defeated Boston College 86-64.

Holy Cross and UMass have met at the DCU Center on three prior occasions, with UMass holding a 2-1 advantage in those games.

Holy Cross Schedule

The announcement of the game against UMass comes just a couple of weeks after the program announced their participation in the Brooklyn Hoops Invitational.

So here is the schedule so far:

Nov. 13 - Holy Cross at South Carolina (Brooklyn Hoops Invitational)

Nov. 15 - Holy Cross at Syracuse (Brooklyn Hoops Invitational)

Nov. 20 - UMass vs Holy Cross (DCU Center)

Nov. 25 - Monmouth vs. Holy Cross (Brooklyn Hoops Invitational)

Nov. 27 - South Carolina State vs Holy Cross (Brooklyn Hoops Invitational)

The games against Monmouth and South Carolina State will be played at the Hart Center.

The remainder of the Crusaders schedule will be announced later this summer.
