Holy Cross Comes up Short at Army, Fall 72-68

Malachi Alexander led Holy Cross with 17 points.

The Holy Cross Crusaders (10-16, 5-10 PL) fell 72-68 to (16-11, 7-8 PL) Army West Point on Wednesday night. Holy Cross and Army split the season series, however, the Crusaders have now lost four of their last five games. 

The Crusaders led 59-48 with 4:22 left to play before Army would go on an 8-2 run to take a commanding lead. 

Holy Cross would trail 71-68 with under 15 seconds to play and had a chance to tie the game, however, a three-point attempt from Antony Thompson just missed. 

The Leaders 

Holy Cross was led by Malachi Alexander who poured in 17 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 3 assists. 

Cullen Hamilton followed up with 17 points, 3 steals, 2 rebounds and 2 assists in the game. 

Next up 

Holy Cross returns to action on Sunday, February 21 when they host American at the Hart Center. 

 Tip off is set for noon.
