The Holy Cross Crusaders men’s basketball team won its second straight game on Wednesday, beating Army 70-65 in West Point.

The win improves the Crusaders to 10-1 overall and 7-8 in the Patriot League.

Holy Cross Edges Army

The Crusaders trailed Army 65-64 with under a minute to play when guard Patrick Benzan drove to the basket and converted a layup to give Holy Cross a 66-65 lead.

On Army’s ensuing possession, the Crusaders forced a turnover which set up a breakaway dunk by Austin Butler to put Holy Cross up 68-65.

Butler would seal the win a few seconds later at the free throw line.

Holy Cross was led by freshman Caleb Green, who poured in 18 points.
