Holy Cross Escapes With 69-65 Overtime Win Over Albany

The win improves Holy Cross to 4-2 on the season, while Albany falls to 2-3.
Holy Cross Wins in OT
After leading by as much as 17 in the second half, the Crusaders led by 13, 56-43, with six minutes left in regulation.
However, the Great Danes would go on a 13-0 run over the final six minutes to force overtime.
The Crusaders missed seven straight shots during that stretch.
In the overtime period, Holy Cross got off to a fast start.
Sophomore Caleb Green knocked down a jump shot and Jehyve Floyd added two baskets and two free throws to spark Holy Cross to an 8-0 run and a 64-56 lead.
The Crusaders then connected on five of eight foul shots in the final minute to hold on for the win.
Jacob Grandison led Holy Cross with 17 points, three rebounds, and three assists, while Green had 12 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
Floyd added 12 points of his own, seven of which came in overtime.
Holy Cross hit 46.4 percent of its field goals on the night, but connected on only 29.4 percent of its three-pointers and 60.0 percent of its free throws.
Next Up
Holy Cross returns to action Wednesday, November 28 when they visit Harvard.
Game time is set for 7 p.m.
