Cullen Hamilton led Holy Cross with 18 points

The Holy Cross Crusaders men's basketball team (9-13, 4-7 PL) fell 58-45 to (6-15, 4-6 PL) American on Monday night in Washington, D.C. Holy Cross has lost three of their last four games.

The Crusaders used an 11-0 run to take a 29-28 lead with 11:27 on the clock, however, it was American's long range shooting that doomed Holy Cross. 

The Eagles hit back to back three pointers to take the lead and would be up 34-32 with 9:45 to play in the game. 

From that point, the Eagles would then go on an 8-2 run to take a 42-34 lead and seal the win. 

The Crusaders would not get closer than 7 points the rest of the way. 

The Leaders 

Holy Cross was led by Cullen Hamilton who poured in 18 points while Robert Champion followed up with 9 points. 

Next up 

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, February 6 when they host Bucknell at 1 p.m. at the Hart Center.

Hamilton was the only Crusader to reach double figures in the game and has now reached double figures in two straight games for Holy Cross.
