The loss drops the Crusaders to 10-5 on the season and 1-1 in the Patriot League.
Navy improves to 5-8 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
Holy Cross Loses in Final Second
With the game tied at 48, Navy’s Hasan Abdullah knocked down a short jumper with 0.6 seconds left to give Navy the lead.
Prior to that, Holy Cross led 46-41 with under five minutes to play after back-to-back baskets from Jehyve Floyd.
However, Navy would respond with a 7-0 run to take a 48-46 lead on a jump shot by George Kiernan with 41 seconds to play.
On the Crusaders next possession, Floyd was fouled going to the basket and made both free throws with 25.7 seconds to go, tying the score at 48.
Navy then had the ball last, and after Cam Davis missed a three-pointer, Abdullah grabbed the rebound and hit the winning shot.
The Crusaders were led in the game by Jacob Grandson who had 11 points and nine rebounds, while Floyd added 10 points, all in the second half.
