Holy Cross Falls to Rhode Island 79-63 at DCU Center

Holy Cross falls to 6-4 on the season, while URI improves to 4-3 overall.
The loss also drops the Crusaders to 7-16 all-time at the DCU Center.
Holy Cross Falls to URI
After leading 38-29 at the half, URI opened the second half on a 9-0 run to take a 47-29 lead with 16 minutes to play.
However, Holy Cross would rally.
The Crusaders would go on a 17-4 run to cut URI’s lead to 51-46 with ten minutes to play.
Holy Cross would cut Rhode Island’s lead to just two, 59-57, with six minutes to play before the Rams would push their lead back up to six, 65-59 with 3:39 to go.
URI would close the game on a 14-4 run to get the 79-63 win.
The Crusaders were led by sophomore guard Caleb Green, who poured in 16 points, dished out eight assists and had three steals.
Next Up
The Crusaders will now break for final exams, before returning to action with a home game against Canisius on Thursday, December 20.
Game time is set for 2 p.m.
