Holy Cross Football Announces 2017 Schedule

Tuesday, July 19, 2016

Head Coach Tom Gilmore

Holy Cross football announced their 2017 season schedule on Monday. The schedule features five home games at Fitton Field as well as the Crusaders' first game against a Football Bowl Subdivision opponent since 2002.

“We have put together a very exciting and competitive football schedule for the 2017 season that I’m confident our student-athletes and fans will enjoy. The addition of football scholarships in 2013 has given Holy Cross the ability to play more games against Football Bowl Subdivision opponents on the biggest stage, and we look forward to beginning that new era at UConn. We will also face a number of traditional rivals and tough regional opponents in our 2017 non-conference schedule, along with our Patriot League lineup. Additionally, I am pleased to release the future football schedules through the 2021 season at this time so that our fans can make plans to support the Crusaders in our exciting future matchups,” said Pine.

Holy Cross begins the season on August 21 when they visit Connecticut at Rentschler Field in East Hartford before visiting Bucknell on September 9.

The Crusaders will play their home opener on September 15 when they host New Hampshire at Fitton Field.

Other home games include September 30 against Lafayette, October 7 at Monmouth, October 21 at Colgate and October 28 at Georgetown.
