Holy Cross Football Picked to Finish 6th in Patriot League

The Holy Cross Crusaders football program has been picked to finish sixth in the 2015 Patriot League preseason poll, voted on by the head coaches and sports information directors. The Crusaders received a total of 29 points.

Fordham University was picked to finish first with 66 points and 10 first place votes while Bucknell was picked second with 63 points and four first place votes. Georgetown was picked last with 13 points.

Individual Honors

Holy Cross junior quarterback Peter Pujals earned second team All-Patriot League honors starting all 12 games at quarterback for the Crusaders let season. Pujals completed 225 of 375 passes for 2,353 yards and ten touchdowns as well as running the ball 170 times for 705 yards and six touchdowns.

Jake Wieczorek was also selected second team All-Patriots League after starting all 12 games a wide receiver last season. Wieczorek led the team with 50 receptions for 694 yards and five touchdowns.

Last season Holy Cross went 4-8 overall and 2-4 in Patriot League. This season Holy Cross returns 15 starters and 43 letter winners.

The Crusaders start the 2015 season when they visit Monmouth on September 5.
