Lock down defense

Head coach Milan Brown has to be happy with his teams defense in this game.

The Crusaders held the Mountain Hawks to just 29% shooting from the field, 19% from three-point land, blocked nine shots and had nine steals in the game.

The challenge now will be translating this defense into the games going forward, if they can do that, they will have a chance to make a run.

Still alive

The Crusaders have now won three of their last four games and improve to 6-8 in Patriot League play.

The Crusaders are now in a three way tie for sixth place in the conference and 3.5 games back of first place Bucknell.

The Crusaders remaining schedule is as follows:

  • At (6-8) Lafayette
  • At (6-8) Navy
  • vs (6-8) Loyola (MD)
  • At (7-7) Boston University

Holy Cross is playing some of their best basketball of the season right now and a couple of wins in these games would put them in good position for a tournament run.

Considering how their conference play season started (1-5) that is all you can ask for if your a Holy Cross player or fan.
