video: Holy Cross Rolls Lafayette 71-54

“I thought out defense was very good in the first half, deflected some balls, got some turnovers. I also think they missed some shots that they normally make. It seemed to me they had some pretty good open shots that they missed and we didn’t give them too many second chances,” said Holy Cross head coach Bill Carmody after the game.
The win moves Holy Cross to 9-9 on the season and 3-2 in the Patriot League.
Crusaders Roll
Holy Cross led by five points, 12-7 with 11 minutes to play before ripping off a 15-0 run to take a 27-7 lead. During that stretch, Malachi Alexander scored seven of the Crusaders’ 15 points.
The Crusaders would take a 33-13 lead into the locker room
Holy Cross would continue their dominance in the second half, using runs of 8-0 ad 7-0 to build a 33 point lead, 54-21 with 13:34 left to play.
Lafayette would get no closer than 15 points as the Crusaders rolled to the win.
