Justin Burrell

Justin Burrell's collegiate career came to an end on Thursday night with the loss to Bucknell. 

Burrell finished the game with four points, four assists and one rebound. Burrell failed to reach double figures in scoring in four of Holy Cross's last five games. 

Justin Burrell ends his career with 1.139 points and 410 assists. 

Rebounding

Malcolm Miller led Holy Cross with eight rebounds but Cullen Hamilton was second with four. 

Overall, the Crusaders got outrebounded 36-28 in the game, including 11-9 on the offensive glass. 

With that said, Holy Cross limited Bucknell to only eight second chance points while the Crusaders netted 11. 

Comeback Nearly completed

The Crusaders trailed by 16 points with 15 minutes to go in the game before storming back to hold a three point lead, 76 73 with 35 seconds left to play in the game. 

Chris Hass ended up getting a layup and a foul and tied the game after converting the three-point play to send the game to overtime. 

In the OT period, Bucknell opened up on a 10-1 run to put the game on ice  pretty early on as Holy Cross just struggled to convert on jump shots and layups. 

The Crusaders only had two field goals in the OT period and none until Christopher Morgan got a dunk with 37 seconds left. 

Down 16 on the road in the second half, you have to give Holy Cross credit for battling back and nearly pulling off the upset. 

Malcolm Miller

Malcolm Miller's collegiate career came to an end on Thursday night but he went out with a bang. 

Against Bucknell, Miller poured in a career high 34 points on 11-of-21 shooting from the field and 11-of-11 from the free throw line. Of his 34 points, 25 of them came in the second half.

Miller also grabbed eight rebounds, dished out four assists, recorded two steals and had four blocks in the game. 

During the Bucknell game, Miller reached the 1,000 point milestone and becomes the 49th player in Holy Cross history to do so. 

Miller finishes his career with 1,013 point and 524 rebounds. 

Season in review

The Crusaders lost 90-83 to the top seeded Bucknell Bison in OT on Thursday night, ending their season.

Holy Cross finishes the year with an overall record of 14-16 and 8-10 in conference play. Holy Cross started conference play with a 1-5 record but salvaged their season by going 7-5 in the final 12 games and getting themselves a home game in the tournament in which they won against Loyola. 

Holy Cross started the season by going 3-0 and defeating #25 Harvard before only winning three more games in a span stretching from the end of November to the middle of January.

The Crusaders will lose both Malcolm Miller and Justin Burrell to graduation but for the rest of the team, next season won't be able to come fast enough.
