As the saying goes, defense wins championships. As the playoffs begin, the Patriots defense gives up an average of 20 points per game, 10th best in the NFL.
The Patriots give up 339 yards of total offense per game which ranks them 9th best in the league.
However, New England gives up an average of 240 passing yards per game which ranks them 17th best compared to just 98 rushing yards per game.
