Kyle Arrington Named “Biggest Dead Weight” on 2014 Patriots Team

Saturday, September 05, 2015

Kyle Arrington

Even though the New England Patriots are coming off a Super Bowl victory, there's still something (or someone) they can point to as a weakness. Apparently, that's former Patriots cornerback Kyle Arrington.

Sports data experts PointAfter has put together a list of the "biggest dead weight" for each NFL in the 2014 season. Arrington's poor defense last season earned him the unfortunate title.

Here's what PointAfter said: "A nickel corner who was occasionally asked to do more, Arrington was the weak spot in New England's defense last season. Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler or newly signed Robert McClain should be able to replace his contribution, if not best it."

Arrington was released by the Patriots in May. Just days later, he signed a three-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens.
