Lehigh vs Holy Cross, Saturday, November 8, 12:35 p.m.
After a four game road trip, the Holy Cross Crusaders (3-6, 1-2 PL) finally return home to host the Lehigh Mountain Hawks (2-6, 1-2 PL) at Fitton Field. This is the Crusaders first home game since September 27th and they come into it off a 24-14 win last week against Lafayette.
Holy Cross
For the Crusaders to build off of last week's win, they need quarterback Peter Pujals to continue his great play. Pujals has completed 181 of his 299 passes, throwing for nine touchdowns and running for two himself along the the 596 yards that he has rushed for. Pujals has been and will be a major bright spot for the Holy Cross football program going forward.
However, he can't do it himself and he certainly has not done it himself this year. His top target is wide receiver Jake Wieczorek who has a team high 40 catches for 610 yards on the season and four touchdowns. Handing it off to running back Gabe Guild has been a good option for Pujals as well. Guild comes into this game with 385 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 88 caries on the season. Holy Cross has put up at least 20 points in their last three games and will be looking for that to continue at home against a conference rival.
Lehigh Moutain Hawks
For the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, they come into this game with some momentum. They have won two of their last three games and last week defeated the Georgetown Hoyas 27-19 on the road. The Mountain Hawks are led by quarterback Nick Shafnisky who has thrown 12 touchdown passes on the season to go along with his 1,698 yards passing. Other key players for Lehigh include running back Rich Sodeke who has five rushing touchdowns on the year and wide receiver Josh Parris who has three touchdowns and a team high 43 catches.
