Holy Cross Given 16 Seed in NCAA Tournament

Holy Cross is coming off their 6th Patriot League Championship after beating Lehigh 59-56 last week and will make their 13 NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
Improbable Run
The Crusaders finished the season with a record of 14-19 overall and 5-13 in the conference play before getting to the tournament.
Once the Patriot League tournament began, the Crusaders won four straight road games en route to the Championship. Holy Cross had not won a road game in the conference play season prior to the tournament.
The Crusaders became the first 9 seed to play in and also win the conference championship game.
The Number 1 Seeds
The number one seeds in the NCAA tournament are Oregon, Kansas, North Carolina and Virginia, with Kansas claiming the number one overall seed.
