Recapping The 1st Round of The NFL Draft

Friday, April 29, 2016

The first round of the NFL Draft took place on Thursday night in Chicago, with the rest of the draft resuming tonight and throughout the weekend.

In the first round, it was quarterback Jared Goff who went number one overall to the LA Rams while quarterback Carson Wentz went number two overall tot he Philadelphia Eagles.

The AFC East

So who are the new guys that the Patriots will face?

For starters, the Miami Dolphins had the lowest pick of anyone in the division at 13 and they took offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil out of Ole Miss. This could end up being a big steal for the Dolphins as Tunsil was expected to be a top five pick but dropped due to a youtube video of what appeared to be him smoking marijuana.

The Buffalo Bills had pick number 19 and took defensive end Shaq Lawson out of Clemson.

While the Jets at number 20 took linebacker Darron Lee out of Ohio State.
