Revolution Eliminated From Playoff Contention Despite 2-0 Win Over Orlando City

However, due to D.C. United’s 1-0 win over FC Dallas, the Revs are eliminated from the MLS Cup Playoffs.
The win moves New England to 9-12-11 on the season, while Orlando falls to 7-20-4 overall.
Revs Beat Orlando
After a scoreless first half, the Revs got on the board in the 51stminute when Cristian Penilla found the back of the net to put New England up 1-0.
The goal was Penilla’s 12th of the season, which leads the Revolution.
Just a few minutes later, New England’s Diego Fagundez found the back of the net to put New England up 2-0.
The goal was Fagundez’s 8th of the season.
The Revs would hold on to win 2-0.
Next Up
The Revolution return to action Thursday, October 18 when the visit Real Salt Lake.
Game time is set for 9 p.m.
