Philadelphia’s Cory Burke found the back of tenet in the 53rd minute, beating Revolution goaltender Matt Turner with a right footed shot.
The goal was originally ruled offside, but overturned after video review.
The Revolution were unable to find the equalizer in the final minutes.
Next up
The Revolution return to action on Saturday, September 1 when they host the Portland Timbers at Gillette Stadium.
Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
