Brown loses to Cornell in Ivy playoff and misses tournament. Friday's disappointment costs Brown dearly and the Bruins will have to wait for next season.
The NCAA Men's bracket is:
#1 Virginia vs. Mount St. Mary's
#8 Stony Brook vs. Denver
#5 Duke vs. Johns Hopkins
#4 North Carolina vs. Delaware
#3 Maryland vs. Hofstra
#6 Princeton vs. Notre Dame
#7 Cornell vs. Loyola
#2 Syracuse vs. Army
Five members of Brown’s Ivy League Men’s team have been named All-Ivy. Senior Thomas Muldoon (Oakton, VA) earned first team All-Ivy honors for the third consecutive season, while senior midfielder Reade Seligmann (Essex Falls, NJ) and junior midfielder David Hawley (New Canaan, CT) also earned first team honors. Junior defenseman Peter Fallon (Baltimore, MD) was chosen second team All-Ivy, while junior goalie Matt Chriss (Lutherville, MD) earned honorable mention All-Ivy honors.
Brown women have had a solid season - at 7-7, but only 2-5 in the Ivies.
Men's Facts:
Bryant Men finish 12-5 with a season finale, but their SOS is #48 in Division I.
While Ben Sternberg plays at Bryant, Brown is void of any RI talent. It has been years since Brown has featured a RI player. During this void, RIers have gone on to star at D-I powers Virginia (2), Drexel, Delaware, Cornell, Hopkins, etc. You have to go back to the trio of great attackman from Moses Brown - Gagnon, Buononno, and Munro to remember a high impact Rhode Islander on the Brown roster.
RI High School
This year LaSalle and Mount Hope look to be the class of the state in Boy's lacrosse, but no team in the State features any D-I prospects. How are the best players - tell us in Share It.

Boy's Lacrosse Players on the Rise
Tanner Duggan at South Kingstown is the reason why the team is ranked in the top 10 -- the steady attackman is putting up big numbers.
Ben Handanyan at Mount has overcome a slow start. The lefty is piling up the points and got the Mounties moving forward with wins over Prout and Narragansett.
