Sharks Lose 4-2 to Manchester Monarchs

The Worcester Sharks lost last night 4-2 to the Manchester Monarchs in their last road game of the season. Nikolay Goldobin was Worcester's lone star in the game, netting the Sharks' both goals in the first period.

The Sharks clinched their playoff berth on Friday evening, but due to Saturday's loss to the the Monarchs can only go as high as the #6 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Sharks finish up their regular season today at 3 PM at the DCU Center against the Portland Pirates. If the Sharks win, the Pirates are knocked out of playoff contention.

Prior to the game, the Worcester Sharks and the DCU Center will host the Boston Bruins Alumni game at 12 PM. The afternoon will also include a Fan Fest. The Alumni game benefits Why ME.
