St. Peter-Marian Football Coach Henrickson Stepping Down

Tom Henrickson stepping down as St. Peter-Marian football coach

St. Peter-Marian football coach Tom Henrickson is stepping down from his position after nine seasons at the school.

“I am very proud of my time at SPM. This program and school will always hold a special place in my heart. I want to thank the administration and faculty for all of their support and most importantly, I want to thank the kids. The kids were the best and no matter the situation, they always play hard for me and that is what counts. While it is a bittersweet feeling, I know I am leaving the program in great shape,” said Henrickson.

The St. Peter-Marian athletic department is currently accepting applications for its Varsity Head Football coaching vacancy. Applications will be accepted through April 21st.

Tom Henrickson

In his career at St. Peter-Marian, he put together an overall record of 51-37, including an eight-win season in 2013 and multiple seven win seasons as well.

He led the Guardians to a pair of Central MA District final appearances, while also claiming the 2013-14 Sportsman of the Year award.

The 2016 season goes down as one of Henrickson’s best seasons as the team finished 7-4 overall and advanced to the Central MA District Division III sectional finals.

The Guardians named ten players to the Central MA Conference all-star team, as well as four players to the 2016 CMass All-Star team.
