Thomas is a Game Time Decision as Celtics Open NBA Playoffs Against Chicago

Sunday, April 16, 2017

Isaiah Thomas is a game time decision for Celtics

The top-seeded Boston Celtics open their 2017 playoffs with not knowing if star Isaiah Thomas will play following the recent death of his sister.

He is a game-time decision.

The Celtics take on the 8th seeded Chicago Bulls in the first round with game one set for Sunday night at the TD Garden.

Tip-off for the game is set for 6:30 p.m.

The two split the regular season series 2-2 with the home team winning each game. However, Chicago has never beat the Celtics in a playoff series.

The Celtics are in the playoffs for the third straight year under Brad Stevens, but have yet to win a series. Last season, Boston fell to the Atlanta Hawks in six games and were swept by Cleveland the year prior.

For more on the matchup, see the charts below.
