US Swimmer Lochte & Teammates Robbed at Gunpoint

Monday, August 15, 2016

United States Olympic swimmer and gold medalist Ryan Lochte and three of his teammates were robbed at gunpoint during a taxi hold-up by men posing as armed police officers. The hold up was first confirmed by the United State Olympic Committee and then confirmed by the IOC.

"I want to thank all of my family, friends, and fans for the overwhelming support and concern I have received today. While it is true that my teammates and I were the  victims of a robbery early Sunday morning, what is most important is that we are safe and unharmed," Lochte said on his twitter account.

GoLocal teams with Graphiq for more on crime and Brazil and Ryan Lochte.
